Check your gaming room every 15 minutes

Keeping an eye on what’s happening in your gaming room greatly increases your chances of picking up gambling harm and fulfilling your host responsibilities.

We recommend that you or a member of your staff check your gaming room every 15 minutes. Look out for:

–        Minors
–        Excluded gamblers
–        General or strong signs of gambling harm.

Regular visits to the gaming room to refill hoppers, clear glasses, offer refreshments and check machines also give you the opportunity to build a rapport with players. The better you get to know your customers and how they play, the more likely you are to spot a harmful change in their behaviour.
